Meet my co-teacher, Summit Longbottom Dreyer! Summit is a "tweenie" sized dachshund, weighing 12 pounds. She was born in December of 2016 and I brought her home in February of 2017. She has been up to no good and making me laugh ever since! You will hear a lot about her throughout our time together. I wish I could say she earned this medal for being an excellent co-teacher, but as you'll see below, she spends most of her time sleeping on the job. Summit's favorite activity is to go for a walk and, when we are as far away from home as we could possibly be, lay down in the grass and refuse to walk home. I end up carrying her home about 8 out of every 10 walks. She also enjoys ripping tags off of new toys, playing with the tag for awhile, and then never touching the toy again. Most of her exercise comes from the "zoomies". The "zoomies" consists of running laps around our apartment at very unexpected times. The rest of her exercise comes from going in and out of the door that leads to the balcony. As soon as she's out she wants to come back in and as soon as she's in she wants to go back out. Summit created a slideshow for you below. Click through the pictures and read the captions to learn more about her!

Go throw your TV set away,
And in its place you can install
A lovely bookshelf on the wall.
Then fill the shelves with lots of books."
